日本に生まれ、ニューヨークを経て、アジアを、
そして世界を旅してきたShun Watanabe。
スタイリストとして世界のトップを目指してやみくもに働いてきた。
走って走って走り続けるうちに、心に浮かんだのは、
「今本当に欲しい物、欲しい生活ってなんだろう？」という問いだった。
時差を超えて飛び回り、朝も夜も関係なく働く生活から、
家族や友人とゆったりした時間を過ごしたり、自分の頭や心に空気を注げる生活へ。
人間の贅沢のために演出された食事から、地球の鼓動を味わえる食事へ。
買えるから買う消費から、本当に必要なものだけをよりすぐって手にする購買行動へ。
物質的な豊かさより、精神的な自由さへ。
既存のルールや価値観に合わせる生き方から、
新しい価値基準を提案する生き方へ。
何よりも、より自分らしく生きるために。
そんなシフトを実現するために、消費するのではなく、
ずっと付き合い続けることのできる商品、
未来を考えるための新しい価値観を提案したい、
そんなShunの思いから、ライフスタイル・ブランドNewsianは生まれた。

Originally from Japan, stylist Shun Watanabe has worked tirelessly to get to the top of the fashion world. Via Tokyo and New York, he travelled extensively in Asia and the rest of the world. After many years of work dominant life, a question popped into his mind. What do I really want? What life would I want? Shifting from working relentlessly day and night to a life where he could spend time with friends and family and have time for himself. Going from having grand meals at high end restaurants to simple yet balanced food that is rich with nutrients from the earth. Going from shopping for more than what’s needed to buying only what’s essential. Going from being strapped down to the materialistic things to becoming spiritually free. Going from a life of conforming to the societal norms and rules to a life where he can set a new standard. Above all, he wanted to be able to live his own authentic lives. To make these shifts happen, he decided to devote his life to produce products that would replace disposable products and propose new values and ideas.
Thus the concept of Newsian was born.
